My Studio

Limited Beta

Desktop app for Windows

My Studio organizes your FL Studio workspaces and handles Track synchronization. Open a Track, work in FL Studio, and My Studio takes care of the rest.

What's new

Every released version of My Studio for Windows, newest first.

Version 0.2.2

CurrentLimited Beta

The app is now called My Studio, with its own icon and a branded installer, and it has a public page on ma-music.studio for the download, release notes and setup help. This is the first release published there, so it also carries the guided setup introduced in 0.2.1.

Added

  • The app is now called My Studio everywhere you see it: the installer (My Studio Setup 0.2.2.exe), the Start menu, the window and Add or Remove Programs.
  • The My Studio icon on the app, its Start menu shortcut, the taskbar and the installer.
  • A public My Studio page on ma-music.studio with the Windows download, What's New and a step-by-step Setup Guide.

Improved

  • Upgrading keeps everything where it was: the installer updates your existing installation in place, in the same folder, and your Tracks, templates and preferences are untouched.
  • An upgrade stays "just for me" or "all users", whichever you originally chose, so updating can't turn one into the other or leave two copies installed. A brand-new install still asks.
  • The installer and uninstaller use My Studio branding instead of generic artwork.
  • Includes everything from 0.2.1: the first-run setup guide, automatic FL Studio detection with a Browse fallback, your choice of Blank Project or your own template for new Tracks, FL Studio project-setting checks, and a gentle template review for existing members.

Known limitations

  • Use each Track from one computer. Opening the same Track on two computers is not supported yet.
  • Automatic checking of the two project settings works for FL Studio 26. Other versions ask you to confirm the settings yourself.
  • There is no automatic update: install a newer installer over the old one. Your Tracks are not touched.
  • The installer is not code-signed, so Windows SmartScreen may warn the first time you run it: choose More info, then Run anyway. It is a direct download from ma-music.studio.

Version 0.2.1

Limited Beta

A guided first-run setup, and your own choice of what new Tracks start from: a clean Blank Project or your own FL Studio template.

Added

  • A setup guide on first run: Welcome, FL Studio, template choice, project settings and a Ready summary.
  • Choose what every new Track starts from: Blank Project, or Use My Template to import your own .flp. My Studio keeps its own copy, so the original can move.
  • Browse to your FL Studio program if it isn't found automatically, and switch back to the detected install any time.
  • My Studio checks the two FL Studio project settings it needs (store data relative to the project file, copy used samples to the project folder) and tells you which one is off.
  • Preferences shows your New Track Template with Change Template, Use Blank Project and Run Setup Guide Again.

Improved

  • The built-in Blank Project is now a clean, empty FL Studio project with no plugins, mixer setup or personal data.
  • Creating a new Track asks you to choose a template first, so a Track is never created from something you didn't pick.
  • Members upgrading from 0.2.0 get a gentle prompt to review their template. Existing Tracks and Resume Work are never touched or blocked.

Fixed

  • Removed placeholder text and disabled buttons in Preferences that implied a shared "default template" could be changed.

Known limitations

  • Use each Track from one computer. Opening the same Track on two computers is not supported yet.
  • Automatic checking of the two project settings works for FL Studio 26. Other versions ask you to confirm the settings yourself.
  • The installer is not code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen may warn the first time you run it.

Version 0.2.0

Limited Beta

The first My Studio Desktop beta: work on a Track in FL Studio from one computer, with automatic cloud backup of your project file.

Added

  • Sign in with your MA Music account through your browser.
  • Each Track gets its own managed workspace on your computer. Resume Work opens it straight in FL Studio.
  • When you close FL Studio, My Studio saves your project file to the cloud as a new revision.
  • Safe conflict handling: if the cloud and your computer both changed, nothing is overwritten. You choose, and your version is kept as a named copy first.
  • Start a new Track from the Sessions screen, or continue an existing one.

Known limitations

  • Use each Track from one computer. Opening the same Track on two computers is not supported.
  • Free accounts sync the project file only. Audio and sample sync is for My Studio Pro accounts.
  • There is no automatic update: install a newer installer over the old one. Your Tracks are not touched.
  • The installer is not code-signed, so Windows SmartScreen may warn the first time you run it.
